Chuck Hendrix is the founder and CEO of Innovative Leisure Partners. Chuck has almost 40 years of experience in the amusement and leisure industry, which has enabled him a career journey through China, Taiwan, Mexico, the Middle East and the mainland United States. Chuck has been involved in virtually every aspect of the leisure industry from owning his own companies, to servicing major amusement park operators, building and operating amusement facilities internationally and the sale and disassembly of park properties. He began his career working for Six Flags as a seasonal employee in Atlanta, Georgia. His many years in and out of Six Flags Corporation presented the opportunity for him to grow in many areas of the industry.

Chuck’s diverse experience includes the following accomplishments:


Served as Senior Vice President of Park Strategy and Management for Six Flags Theme Parks Inc., responsible for managing all operations for the Company’s 30 parks with over 30,000 employees throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.


Constructed and operated the $80M Formosa Wonderland - Taipei, the first water park and theme park in Taiwan.


Designed, constructed and operated the $320M American Dream Parks in Guangzhou and Shanghai, China.


Negotiated concessions for Search Group International in China, Laos and Cambodia.


Served as Chief Operations Consultant for the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee.


Established as the largest concessionaire of record at the State Fair of Texas (over 3 million in attendance and $3M revenue in less than 30 days).


Produced and operated the Celebración! Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Festival Del Sol in El Paso, TX.
